Vegan French Toast

This quick, easy breakfast is suitable from 6 months.

Dairy / soya / egg / nut free


Takes 10 minutes. Serves 1 adult or 2 children.

Storage: best fresh, do not freeze.


Using the crust slice of bread works best, or a slice that's starting to go slightly stale


INGREDIENTS

- 1 crust slice of dairy & soya free bread

- 1/2 ripe banana

- 2 tbsp plant based milk (I used oat)

- 1/4 tsp cinnamon

- 1 tsp vegan butter or margarine


METHOD

  1. Mash the banana in a shallow bowl then add the milk and cinnamon, mix well

  2. Heat the butter in a frying pan on a medium heat until bubbling. Meanwhile dunk the slice of bread in the mix until all covered

  3. Add the bread to the pan and brush the remaining mix over the top. Cook for 2 mins each side until golden

  4. Slice into fingers and serve
